Hi! My name is Clara and I’m a fourth year Biology student and a summer research student in the lab. I received the Sarah Lawson research scholarship and am currently investigating callus induction and organogenesis in the lace plant and will complete my honours project in the lab this year.
I have always been passionate about nature, spending time outdoors, and understanding how plants interact with their environment. My interest in botany grew after taking Diversity of Life II in my second year. I started volunteering in the lab and completed an experiential learning project in my third year, where I became fascinated with the lace plant.
This opportunity has taught me so much, and I look forward to learning even more this coming year.
